    Description

    Available in this listing is an exceptional agatized petrified wood cut specimen slab originating from Cherry Creek near Elko, Nevada! This petrified wood is a favorite among collectors as the fossil wood tends to show brilliant red and pink coloration with excellent growth ring structure! It is also a very rare petrified wood as it was dug decades ago and explosives used to free the wood from the host ruined a large quantity of the gem material. The display slab piece measures 178mm by 120mm by 4.5mm. The rare and beautiful fossil wood weighs 6.2 ounces. All photographs taken while the petrified Cherry Creek Nevada wood was wet excluding the final two photographs which portray both sides of the slab while dry. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that minimizes the potential for damage.
