This spring is the perfect size to hold the lid button down to fool the system into believing the lid is closed, when it is not, so that you can swap the disc.
All you are getting, is the spring.  In order for it to work best, all you need to do is bend one of the ends of the spring out a little bit so that it goes into the switch hole better.  See pictures.  I will try to remember to bend it for you before I send, but no promises.  You can see that I have bent out one end of the spring just a little bit with some pliers.
