    Petrified Palm Wood - from the Platte River in Adams County. Found in the Denver Basin in the Dawson Formation and is about 50 to 60 million years old.
    Colorado has excellent palm wood that is high quality, highly agatized and a wide variety of colors. Most of the outside's are tan but the insides vary greatly with black, white, tan and beautiful blue agate dots. Many collectors don't know of the Colorado palm wood because there isn't a lot of it around. Most of the petrified wood from Colorado is Conifer.
    Nice and different palm to add  to your collection.
    Measurements are about 3 3/4
    inches by 2 inches on the polished face and  2 3/4  inches at the tallest point, weighs 12.5 ounces.
